An Inn for 300 years
The Hermit Inn is an iconic pub. Perched on the edge of Ilkley Moor since the time of the horse and cart, the building itself is well known for jutting into the road - claiming many a wing mirror in more recent times. But whilst the means of arrival has changed over the years, the welcome has remained the same; warm and friendly, with a fine selection of cold beers, individually selected wines and freshly prepared delicious food.

Our beautiful terrace, with covered seating and unrivalled views over the Wharfe Valley is the place to be on sunny days. From here you can head down to the lower beer garden to enjoy a family friendly lawn area with picnic tables and even deck chairs. As the sun sets the festoon lights are turned on and heaters take the chill out of the evening air.

It’s the people that make a pub. George and his team are friendly, courteous and professional, as well as being experts on the food, beer and wine they offer. Take a seat next to the wood burning stove in our 300 year old stone flagged tap room whilst The Hermit staff serve you a perfectly poured pint of real ale and delicious home cooked food.
